A national first. Train your brain. Build your future.
This is a new national opportunity, formally recognised by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for young people who want to think deeper, build confidence and stand out.
Over 13 weeks, you will take part in a structured mathematics pathway that challenges how you think, not how fast you work. You’ll tackle non-routine, thought-provoking problems that reward logic, creativity and persistence, rather than memorisation or speed.
Just as physical training builds strength and endurance, sustained problem-solving trains the brain. You’ll learn to concentrate deeply, break down complex ideas, refine solutions and stay resilient when answers are not obvious skills that are essential in science, technology, engineering and artificial intelligence.
You won’t just solve problems. You’ll create your own, designing original challenges and explaining your reasoning. Your progress is recorded in a Digital Logic Journal, building a powerful portfolio of independent thinking, intellectual resilience and growth.
Outstanding student work is regularly selected for publication in the Archimedes Awards collection, giving you the chance to see your ideas recognised beyond the classroom.
On completion, you’ll receive formal DofE Skills completion, a DofE Assessor Report and the Archimedes Awards Certificate of Mathematical Achievement.
