The Residential Course at Kenton Hall Estate is an immersive five-day experience for Gold Award participants aged 16–18.
Set on a private, family-owned working farm in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, the residential brings together young people for a week of cookery, teamwork, new experiences and connection to food and farming.
With a strong Field-to-Fork focus, participants develop practical cookery skills while discovering more about farming, food production and sustainable food systems. From preparing meals and baking bread to exploring the farm and understanding how food is grown and produced, the course offers an opportunity to learn skills that will last well beyond the residential. Participants stay together in our woodland glamping accommodation.
Alongside cookery, the week includes a varied programme of hands-on activities and experiences, from farm tours to team challenges, cycling, yoga and outdoor activities, encouraging participants to try something new, work together and build confidence.
The course price includes all meals, glamping accommodation, cookery sessions, activities and experiences throughout the five-day residential.
