Eastwood Whelpton Ltd – Learn to Sail Gold Residential – Norfolk Broads

This Norfolk sailing adventure gives you the opportunity to live aboard a yacht and learn to sail for your Gold Residential, gaining your RYA L1 and L2.

Our Gold Sailing Residential is a fully immersive 5 day, 4 night opportunity to develop new skills, independence and teamwork aboard a traditional Norfolk yacht in the Norfolk Broads National Park.

Live, cook and sleep aboard, exploring these waterways and working as part of a crew to learn to sail and work towards your Royal Yachting Association sailing qualification (Level 1 and Level 2 Sailing).

Your ‘skipper’ will show you the ropes and help you learn the basics, parts of the boat, ropework, sailing upwind and downwind, route planning, helming etc.

By the end of the residential you will feel confident to lead your crew and sail independently on the Norfolk Broads and rivers. You will also have developed a greater awareness of the local environment and consider ways to best maintain and protect this special landscape and its unique ecosystem.
