This online DofE AI Skills course gives Bronze, Silver and Gold participants the opportunity to develop practical, future-focused skills in artificial intelligence, digital entrepreneurship and creative technology while completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Skills section.

Young people complete an average of at least one hour of structured learning and practical activity each week. They learn to use AI tools safely, responsibly and creatively, explore digital business, strengthen problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking, and turn an original idea into a practical digital project. This could include a digital product concept, website or app prototype, brand and marketing campaign, AI-powered service or online business idea.

Through Education Direct Worldwide’s online learning platform, participants complete weekly activities, track their progress, upload reflections and project evidence, receive feedback, and build a structured portfolio demonstrating their commitment, progress and skills development.

No coding is required, making the programme accessible to complete beginners. Participants can learn online from home, at their own pace, while following the required timescale for their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award level.

By the end of the programme, participants will have developed valuable AI and digital skills, completed a meaningful project, and received a verifiable Education Direct certificate and personalised Assessor’s Report
