Fresh Tracks offers practical, hands-on cookery courses for young people looking to develop essential life skills before heading to university or independent living.

A fun 5-day residential course perfect for young people wanting to learn general life skills, with an emphasis on improving their cooking, as preparation for university or independently living.
The course teaches students how to cook a variety of nutritious meals and build their confidence in the kitchen. Students get the opportunity to practice making breakfasts, lunches and evening meals and learn how to prepare and serve delicious dishes from scratch.

Other sessions include health and nutrition basics and using a gym, work skills and public speaking, household maintenance and domestic basics such as laundry and cleaning, first aid skills, and essential people skills.

Held in beautiful Polzeath, Cornwall, just five minutes from the beach, students enjoy a relaxed setting with comfortable accommodation, gym and tennis court access plus the amazing opportunity to learn to surf or enjoy the beach in their free time.

Courses are delivered in small domestic kitchen settings with class sizes limited to 8 students per week, ensuring personalised guidance and support.

The course meets the requirements for the Gold DofE Residential section and include 5-nights accommodation with 5-days comprehensive tuition, all the equipment and ingredients to use.
