Become a Summer Reading Challenge volunteer!
Young people aged 14+ can volunteer at a library to support the delivery of the Summer Reading Challenge to encourage children aged 4-11 to read for fun, and happens in libraries every year in the summer holidays.
Many libraries are supported by volunteers like you. Opportunities can include:
• Helping to run activities for children and families
• Handing out prizes
• Talking to children about the books they’ve read
Contact your local library today to ask about volunteering opportunities for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. Please note that volunteering opportunities and dates may vary depending on your local library authority.
