Gemma Lay – Wildlife Rescue in Costa Rica – Costa Rica

Join a team for 1 week + to help at a wildlife sanctuary which provides a safe haven for rescued animals including monkeys, sloths, birds and anteaters.

The wildlife rescue project in Costa Rica has a sanctuary to give a home for animals that are not able to be released back into the wild, and a clinic for newly rescued animals.

You will assist in caring for the wild animals in the sanctuary. Volunteers provide food, water and enrichment for the animals as well as undertaking maintenance work. It’s an incredible learning experience as you will find out all about the background of the rescued animals and the importance of rainforest conservation.

Volunteer live in a shared volunteer house and have all meals together in the dining area.

You can explore the beautiful rainforest surroundings and the popular coastal destination of Manuel Antonio National Park with stunning beaches and adventure activities on your days off.

Volunteers are needed to help care for animals who live at the sanctuary including sloths, monkeys, macaws and kinkajous.

Available for 1-12 weeks for volunteers aged 18+ years.

Main meals and shared accommodation is included in the volunteer fee.
