Having worked in the private, public and third sector for the last 20 years, it is here in the Charity sector where my passion lies. I enjoy working at the DofE, as I am part of the outstanding work that the DofE are doing to reach young people. I enjoy my role at the DofE as it enables me to provide class leading people systems for my colleagues.My DofE journey started in 2010 when I signed up to do the Bronze Award and then continued to complete my Silver and Gold Awards. I completed a work placement with the DofE London Team, which gave me an insight into the Charity and applied for an Operations Officer role and I haven’t looked back! I am now an Operations Manager role managing a team of Operations Officers and empowering them to do their role with confidence.I feel privileged to be able to work for the DofE. Having completed all three levels of the Award myself, I know first-hand the transformative impact that DofE can make on a young person’s life. It is important to me that I can feel like I am making a difference and working at the DofE allows me to do that daily.I feel inspired by the DofE’s Youth Without Limits strategy – it’s exciting to find new ways to work with our corporate partners to support marginalised young people to access the life-changing benefits of the Award.
