We’re committed to ensuring the DofE is open to all young people aged 14-24 across the UK and that our participants reflect the most diverse generation of young people ever. Our grant-making helps ensure the DofE is accessible and inclusive, delivering against our organisational strategy: Youth Without Limits.

Our first significant grant-giving fund was made possible through the support of the #iwill movement. During the COVID-19 pandemic and into the Cost-of-Living Crisis, thanks to our generous donors we were able to continue to provide crucial support to Licensed Organisations, ensuring young people across the UK could benefit from improved wellbeing, enhanced skills, greater community ties and increased physical activity, at a challenging time when programmes like ours had never been more needed.

The ongoing demand for grant-funding and impact were clear. As a result, we have developed our grant-making with increased funding and a dedicated expert team.

Through our grant-making and with the support of our incredible donors, we are increasing opportunity and access; removing barriers to participation, enabling young people from marginalised backgrounds to take part and providing organisations with funding to start offering the DofE to the young people they work with.
